Role Overview
The Health, Safety & Training Advisor plays a crucial role in cultivating a proactive health and safety culture and collaborating with various departments to ensure compliance across all operational areas.
- This position is site-based, operating on a 9-day fortnight schedule.
- A relocation package and/or temporary accommodation will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Health Safety and Training Superintendent to devise and implement internal health and safety strategies, plans, and policies to enhance business performance and compliance.
- Identify and report potential health, safety, and compliance risks proactively.
- Oversee the site's emergency preparedness and response capabilities.
- Participate in site WHS Committee meetings, work area pre-start meetings, and toolbox discussions.
- Offer guidance, support, and coaching to site personnel as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills
- Relevant qualifications in Training & Assessment and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS).
- Comprehensive knowledge of NSW WH&S legislation and statutory obligations.
- Strong administrative skills along with effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Familiarity with WHC360, Onsite, and SharePoint is advantageous.
- Experience in the mining sector is a plus.
