Job Title:

A Manager of Risk and Compliance to support our operations in Australia.


Job Description:

The role is responsible for managing risk and compliance initiatives in the region, supporting the delivery of a robust and efficient platform to support the continued growth of the Australian practice. The position will report to the Managing Director, Risk & Operations, Australia. The ideal candidate will have experience in risk and compliance management, with excellent judgment and negotiation skills.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage team workflows and key risk and compliance activities
  • Oversee compliance management in relation to licensed or registrable activities
  • Communicate, report and present in various forums in relation to risk and compliance matters
  • Work closely with colleagues in the practice to run and resolve urgent or sensitive risk and compliance matters as they arise

What You'll Grow:

The role will provide the ability to operate and influence across a range of different business functions and liaise with senior management within a national setting, with exposure to staff at all levels, within a proactive and collaborative Risk & Operations team.


Requirements:
  • Ability to weigh risks against operational needs to develop reasoned recommendations
  • Self-starter who is very proactive, with a desire to contribute meaningfully to the organisation
  • Excellent judgement and knowledge and ability to involve and keep key stakeholders and/or senior management appropriately informed
  • Knowledge and awareness of relevant laws and regulations, including risk and compliance best practices and frameworks
