Community Services Director
About the role
The Community Services Director is responsible for leading a broad and diverse portfolio that elevates and strengthens the wellbeing, health and safety of our residents, visitors, families, business and community. This includes ensuring we are delivering on both our Council Plan and Health and Wellbeing Strategy.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement organisational strategy and community outcomes.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to drive best practice in community strengthening, advocacy, wellbeing, health, safety and compliance.
- Lead a diverse portfolio that promotes the wellbeing, health and safety of our community.
- Ensure we are delivering on our Council Plan and Health and Wellbeing Strategy.
About you
You are a values-driven leader respected for your ability to build and lead high performing teams through partnership, empowerment and achievement. You have an obvious passion for community and have delivered significant outcomes within local government or similar environments. You have highly developed analytical and lateral thinking skills, which you use to take initiative, lead complex change, and execute innovations.
