The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced professional to lead the team in delivering exceptional customer experience on a full-time basis.

You will develop and execute strategies through engagement with key stakeholders and the local community.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of visitors and employees through effective planning and oversight of policies, processes and procedures.
  • Coach and develop leaders to deliver on goals through engagement, performance planning and individual development plans.
  • Lead and drive a high-performance culture through highly visible and hands-on leadership and team engagement.
  • Achieve business objectives.
  • Maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders.
  • Implement a high-value customer service proposition that addresses the needs of the client base.
  • Recruit talented and diverse employees as required to complement the team and achieve organisational goals.
  • Train staff to ensure knowledge and capability are at required levels to enable staff to carry out their work and achieve objectives.
  • Identify staff and develop career progression paths leading to transparent and effective succession decisions when required.
  • Maintain facilities to approved standards.

Essential Skills And Qualifications
  • Experience in managing or leading in a similar leisure or aquatic facility.
  • Highly developed communication skills with a flair for positive influencing and negotiating outcomes.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation.
  • Experience in planning and execution of operational and people plans to successful outcomes.
  • CPR certification.
  • First aid certificate (Level 2).
  • National police check.
  • Working with vulnerable people.
  • Legal working rights in Australia.
  • Pool lifeguard certificate.

You should be able to share insights into how you have successfully shaped high-performance teams into business actions and articulate the link between employee engagement and business success.
