About the Role:

At Mermaidpropertyservices, we're seeking an exceptional Service and Warranty Officer to join our Service and Warranty Team in the Hervey Bay area.

This is a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to work with us in consistently delivering on our core promises to customers, including value for money, quality, and outstanding customer service.

The successful applicant will be responsible for performing inspections and maintenance repair works on client and display homes, with key responsibilities including:

  • Performing inspections on defects/maintenance items for contract maintenance inspections in set timeframes.
  • Maintenance repair works in the first instance on every job (apart from plumbing and electrical), i.e., repair door locks, shelving, doors, skirting and architraves, soffits, replace tiles, grout touch-ups, small patching and plastering jobs, silicon to wet areas and minor paint works.
  • Liaising with clients and administration team to ensure satisfactory completion of works are carried out in set time frames.
  • Liaising with the Service and Warranty Manager on reoccurring maintenance issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Organising and carrying out required rectification works for warranty items as required.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role with a residential building company, unencumbered driver's license, trade or tertiary qualification in a construction-related discipline, knowledge of building regulations, Australian Standards, Safety regulations, and quality assurance systems.
