**Perinatal Mental Health Specialist Opportunity**

Our Perinatal Mental Health Service is seeking a dedicated specialist to join our multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will work closely with obstetric and midwifery teams to provide assessment and treatment for women requiring help with perinatal related mental health issues, including but not limited to; depression, PTSD, pregnancy-related grief, anxiety, etc.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing detailed mental health assessments and evidence-supported treatments
  • Utilizing a systematic approach to identify women requiring mental health intervention in the antenatal period and postpartum period
  • Providing appropriate obstetric care to manage known obstetric and neonatal risks associated with mental illness in the antenatal period
  • Maintaining a sustainable, collaborative service system to deliver an integrated model of practice
  • Liaising and coordinating with perinatal mental health support services for clients

**Requirements:**

  • Demonstrated experience in public mental health service
  • Experience in providing psycho-education to consumers and carers
  • Highly developed analytical skills
  • Demonstrated experience to provide primary and secondary consultation to stakeholders
  • Ability to provide education and professional development to healthcare workers
