About the RoleThe Day of Surgery Admissions (DOSA) team provides care to patients being admitted for theatre procedures. As an Enrolled Nurse in this department, you will work across all areas of Day Surgery, including pre-operative and post-operative care. This challenging and rewarding role requires strong patient-service focus, commitment to continued service improvement, and problem-solving skills to enhance patient care outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient flow
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based practice
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
- Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA registration
- Diploma of Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Proven clinical experience in day surgery
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment
