We're seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer to join our team in Sydney's CBD, with a flexible hybrid work arrangement. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to take on new challenges and contribute to the development of cutting-edge technology.

As the first technical hire, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the architecture, design, and development of our AI/ML-driven customer service platform. Your expertise will be invaluable in ensuring the system's performance, writing code, and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of microservices, containerization, and API design. Experience with Python, Java, Scala, or .Net is highly desirable, with a preference for Python. Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP, as well as DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, is also essential.

A competitive salary package, estimated at AU$140,000 - AU$160,000 per annum, reflects the company's commitment to attracting top talent.
