We are seeking an experienced and qualified Drainage Engineer to join our team at the City of Mandurah. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will play a critical role in the planning, design, and management of our drainage infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and planning in the development of our drainage infrastructure, ensuring it is efficient and sustainable.
- Prepare stormwater management capital works programs, contributing to the effective and cost-efficient management of our drainage assets.
- Ensure the impact on the community, infrastructure, and environment is managed, with a focus on water-sensitive urban design (WSUD).
- Manage the delivery of detailed analysis, modeling, and design of stormwater drainage infrastructure, in accordance with our strategic, legislative, and environmental requirements.
- Provide professional advice and technical support to management, executive, council, and officers on matters related to the safe and sustainable design, operation, and management of stormwater infrastructure.
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil/Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of five or more years' relevant experience.
- Current unrestricted C-class national driver's license.
- Eligibility for membership of Engineers Australia.
- Experience in using computerized asset management and related business systems.
- Experience in CAD, GIS, and modeling (hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality) software such as AutoCAD, QGIS, DRAINS, PCSump, or similar software.
- Extensive experience in investigation, analysis, and design of stormwater and WSUD systems.
- Experience in developing, implementing, and reviewing stormwater management studies and plans within budget, time, and quality standards.
- Proven experience in the development approval process, including the assessment of development applications, planning proposals, master plans, and major residential and commercial developments from a stormwater management perspective, with a focus on WSUD.
- A competitive salary range of $114,586 – $121,381 gross per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience.
