About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grounds Maintenance and Training Professional to join our team at Yourtown. As an Enterprise Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and mentoring to young people in the field of grounds maintenance and horticulture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of grounds and garden maintenance tasks, including mowing, mulching, weeding, and soft landscaping.
  • Manage, mentor, and train a group of young trainees, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Lead by example and foster a sense of independence and wellbeing among the trainees.
  • Ensure contract specifications and scheduling requirements are being met, and maintain tools and equipment to a high standard.
  • Promote a positive Workplace Health and Safety culture and ensure active compliance.
Requirements
  • Recognised industry/trade qualification in horticulture or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in grounds and garden maintenance, with a strong focus on training and mentoring.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of WHS requirements and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with trainees, customers, and colleagues.
  • Current white card and first aid certificate, or the ability to obtain.
