Senior Frontend Engineer for E-commerce Framework

About the Role

You will take ownership of all things front-end in our e-commerce framework, working as part of our engineering team.

The main focus will be the development of a highly extensible and scalable system, spread over several cloud-based servers.

As a senior frontend engineer, you will develop reliable and maintainable code, always looking for architectural improvements.

Stay in tune with the latest technologies, proactively identify areas for improvement, and propose viable solutions. Your opinion is always valued, and you will have a direct impact on the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing e-commerce framework features and integrating them into our existing architecture
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product delivery
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and growth
Requirements
  • Several years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining complex web applications
  • Extensive knowledge of ReactJS framework and REST APIs
  • Familiarity with common front-end development tools like Webpack, NPM, YARN, SASS, and LESS
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to self-manage
Bonus Requirements (Nice to Have)
  • Demonstrable experience in OOP in the ECMAScript 6 stack using a modern frontend framework such as React or Flux
  • Unit Testing (Mocha, Jasmine) and Integration Testing (Cypress)
  • Designing and implementing RESTful APIs
  • Good PHP OOP knowledge
  • Experience with cloud systems like AWS and Digital Ocean
  • CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins, Bitbucket pipelines) knowledge
  • Ability to work with Docker Containers
