">The Queensland Fire Department is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Auxiliary Firefighter. As an Auxiliary Firefighter, you will be an integral part of our emergency response team, providing critical support to our firefighters in responding to emergencies and protecting the community.
About the Role
">- You will be responsible for attending emergency incidents and training sessions, operating specialist firefighting equipment, and contributing to the upkeep and maintenance of our fire stations.
- You will also play a key role in promoting community safety and emergency preparedness through education and outreach activities.
About You
">We are looking for individuals who possess excellent communication skills, are physically fit, and have a strong commitment to public service. You will be required to hold a Manual C Class driver's license and have Australian Permanent Resident Status.
Key Accountabilities
">- Attend emergency incidents and training sessions, operating specialist firefighting equipment as required.
- Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through education and outreach activities.
- Develop and maintain competencies by actively participating in regular drills and other relevant training courses provided by the QFES.
- Maintain the required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training.
- Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment in a safe and effective manner.
