Senior Risk Manager Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Risk Manager to join our team.

This is a senior-level position that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of financial risk management principles.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in market risk management, with a proven track record of identifying and mitigating potential risks.

As a Senior Risk Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective risk management strategies, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize risks, and providing regular updates to senior management on risk exposure and mitigation efforts.

You will also be responsible for conducting thorough analysis of financial data, identifying trends and anomalies, and making recommendations to senior management on risk mitigation strategies.

This role requires a strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and regulatory requirements, as well as excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies
  • Conduct thorough analysis of financial data
  • Identify trends and anomalies in financial data
  • Make recommendations to senior management on risk mitigation strategies
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize risks
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on risk exposure and mitigation efforts
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • MBA or equivalent degree
  • 15+ years relevant experience in market risk management
  • Subject matter expert in financial instruments, risk metrics, and market risk management
  • Expert analytical, technical, and quantitative skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
