Plant Systems Engineer

About the Role:
The Plant Systems Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting the manufacturing plant's automation systems and equipment. This critical role ensures the reliability and efficiency of our manufacturing operations through effective system integration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of all plant systems components.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage, maintain, troubleshoot, and modify automation systems, including SCADA, PLC, and MES.
- Develop and implement manufacturing systems projects, digital transformation, and automation initiatives.
- Lead the implementation and management of site projects related to automation and digital transformation.
- Apply updates and global developments to the productive hardware and software of the plant.
- Provide training and assist with analysis and troubleshooting of plant floor systems.
- Document solutions and update the knowledge database.
- Establish and maintain close communication with the Sr. Manager, Regional WCS South Pacific and APAC Supply Chain Manufacturing System.
- Lead and manage Cybersecurity related activities in the manufacturing systems.
- Establish and maintain open communication with plant operational, engineering, maintenance, and planning teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Engineering degree in a relevant engineering field (Mechanical / Mechatronics / Electrical)
- 5+ years experience in engineering/automation
- Experience with FMCG plant systems
- SCADA systems knowledge
- PLC programming
- Experience with SQL database and reporting tools
- Knowledge of industrial networks and protocols (Devicenet, Modbus, OPC, EthernetIP, ASi, etc)
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in Aveva (WW System Platform, Intouch, Historian)
- Windows Server Platform
- Rockwell Thin Manager
- Nutanix / VMWare knowledge
- SAP proficiency (or comparable ERP systems)
- Experience with integrating AGV's, SAP, PLC
