Manager of Suicide Prevention Outreach Team and Safe Havens

The Manager, Suicide Prevention Outreach Team (SPOT) and Safe Havens will be a key leadership position within NSW Health, responsible for managing a team of peer workers with a lived experience of suicide and clinicians. The manager will oversee the operational day-to-day coordination and management of all aspects of the SPOT and Safe Havens, including clinical duties.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a team of peer workers and clinicians to deliver suicide prevention services
- Coordinate and implement clinical and non-clinical programs in partnership with senior management
- Participate in co-design activities to plan, implement, and evaluate service models for the SPOT and Safe Haven Service
- Develop and implement clinical and non-clinical programs in partnership with senior management
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve the goals of the Towards Zero Suicides Initiative
The Manager will be part of a team working towards reducing the rate of suicide in NSW by 20 percent by 2023. The team will be responsible for implementing the Towards Zero Suicides Initiative, which includes the establishment of a SPOT and Safe Havens.
RequirementsThe successful candidate will have a strong background in leadership and management, with experience in suicide prevention and mental health. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
