Job Description

This part-time role involves undertaking general nursing tasks, including pre and post-operative care, animal pathology, and emergency and critical care.

Responsibilities:
  • Working 19 hours a week as a skilled veterinary nurse
  • Undertaking routine tasks such as pre and post-operative care, animal pathology, and emergency and critical care
  • Opportunities to work with a diverse range of patients, including emergency referrals from the Animal Emergency Center (AEC)
  • Utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and facilities to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Providing timely and effective treatment through access to extensive in-house labs
  • Collaborating with a dedicated team to deliver exceptional patient care
Requirements:
  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing with 2+ years clinical nursing experience
  • Confidence in surgery is essential
  • An extensive knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, friendly presence
  • A team player attitude and willingness to learn
