At Beca, we are seeking a highly skilled Transmission Line Engineer to join our Power team in Melbourne or Sydney. As a leader in transmission line engineering projects, you will work closely with clients to understand their project brief and technical requirements.

You will formulate design solutions for transmission projects from 66kV to 500kV, work proactively to implement innovative solutions, and be a mentor to the wider transmission design team.

Working on some of Australia's largest transmission projects, you will help shape the transmission backbone of the network and open up renewable energy zones. You will also play a key role in mentoring and developing junior team members.

We are looking for someone with a strong technical background in transmission line engineering, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with others to deliver as a team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing transmission line designs for high voltage electricity networks
  • Working with clients to understand their project brief and technical requirements
  • Formulating design solutions for transmission projects
  • Implementing innovative solutions
  • Mentoring and developing junior team members
