Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Product Manager to join our team in Melbourne. This role will be responsible for developing commercial on-trend ranges that meet sales targets and margin expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trends and Innovation: Stay at the forefront of market trends, product innovation, and competitor analysis to ensure we maintain our competitive edge.
  • Negotiation and Supplier Management: Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to achieve quality products within budgeted margins.
  • Financial Performance: Achieve budgeted sales and margin through continuous review of performance, market opportunities, and product trends.
  • Quality and Customer Focus: Ensure high-quality products meet customer preferences and expectations.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including QA, marketing, and planning.

Requirements:

  • Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers and vendors to achieve quality products within budgeted margins.
  • Diverse Product Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of materials, market demands, and production timelines.
  • Product Development Experience: A minimum of 3 years' experience in product development or buying roles, with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of departmental financials, budgets, and performance metrics.
