Cybersecurity Expert – Infrastructure Design

We are looking for a seasoned Network and Security Gateway professional to join our team on a long-term contract. The successful candidate will design, evaluate, and implement infrastructure requirements to meet future demand, providing expert technical support for project build, test, and solution deployment activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, evaluate, and implement infrastructure requirements to meet future demand.
  • Provide expert technical support for project build, test, and solution deployment activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including design documentation, implementation plans, test plans, and support procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies, operational policy, and procedures, and change initiatives.
  • Participate in change management processes and communicate end-to-end implications of configuration changes.
  • Offer detailed specialist technical advice, including strategic advice to senior executives.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in designing, managing, and maintaining internet gateways and/or large-scale data centre networking environments.
  • Technical proficiency in designing services utilising F5/Blue Coat Layer 4-7 switching/load balancing and proxy systems.
  • Experience in designing and deploying network infrastructure, including Cisco Data Centre technologies like Cisco ACI, Cisco Routers, Nexus switches, routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, EIGRP.
  • Proficiency with Palo Alto firewalls and IPS solutions.
  • Experience in designing and implementing VPN technologies, email, and DNS (Infoblox) solutions.
  • Experience in designing and integrating hybrid and public cloud services.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining system architecture and design documentation.
  • Familiarity with Australian Government information security policies, the ASD Information Security Manual, and Essential Eight.
