The ideal candidate will have a background in a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm and experience in technical accounting, consolidation, and share-based payments. This role will involve providing technical accounting support, financial advice, and statutory reporting assistance.
Job Description
- Assist in monthly, half-year, and year-end financial reporting, including the preparation of statutory reports and Audit Committee submissions.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, ASX, and Corporations Act requirements, including lease accounting, consolidation, and share-based payments.
- Support external and internal audit requirements, ensuring robust controls and best practices.
- Identify and implement process efficiencies in financial reporting and month-end close processes.
- Advise key stakeholders on the accounting impacts of transactions and support strategic decision-making.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- CA or CPA qualified, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in finance and accounting.
- Exposure to M&A's.
- Background in a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm preferred.
- Experience of consolidation, lease accounting, and share-based payments.
- Open to a short-term contract (3-6 months) with flexibility to work from home and the office.
