About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Media Planning and Strategy to join our team at Monks. As a key member of our media planning and strategy team, you will be responsible for developing and executing media plans that drive business results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Media Planning and Strategy: Develop and execute media plans that meet client objectives and drive business results.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the media landscape.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of media planners and strategists to ensure successful execution of media plans.
  • Client Management: Manage client relationships and ensure that client needs are met.
  • Media Buying and Planning: Develop and execute media buying and planning strategies to meet client objectives.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of media planning and strategy experience in a paid media agency.
  • Ability to analyze complex data including audience and channel research, market and sales information, competitive reporting, and more.
  • Strong experience in digital and traditional media from strategy to execution - including a strong understanding of local marketplace dynamics.
  • Excellent presentation and storytelling ability.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to uncover the bigger picture in media objectives and translate this to tactical execution.
  • Strong client management skills and overall attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated track record of success managing large-scale media budgets with excellent financial stewardship.
  • Strong working knowledge of critical tools, including but not limited to: Nielsen, MRI/Simmons, GWI, Pathmatics, Kantar, Media Ocean, Google Suite.
