About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Global Equities Trader to join our team at Platinum Pacific Partners. Reporting to the CIO, you will be responsible for the timely execution of portfolio trades as directed by the CIO; research and management of all systems utilised by the fund. The role will involve some level of intellectual freedom in order to create new trading initiatives to be utilised internally, alongside keeping track of specific market anomalies and general market intelligence that may be of relevance to the investment team, now or in the future.

We are looking for intellectually curious individuals who bring an outstanding academic pedigree and a passion for markets and investments. We are open-minded regarding the academic background of the successful candidates and are keen to review profiles of individuals with between 5 -10 years of work experience gained in a trading environment. Those candidates with experience trading global developed markets who come with market connectivity and excellent market feel are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executing portfolio trades as directed by the CIO
  • Research and management of all systems utilised by the fund
  • Developing new trading initiatives to be utilised internally
  • Keeping track of specific market anomalies and general market intelligence

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in Equities Dealing, Sales & Trading
  • A strong academic background in Commerce, Accounting, Financing or Engineering
  • Strong numerical and accounting skills/experience
  • A curious mind and interest in deep-dive research
  • Impeccable attention to detail and strong work ethic
