Your Role

We seek a skilled Business Analyst to support internal and external customers with commercial activities for the Vehicle Logistics operation. The primary focus will be on operational KPIs, business development, costing, and modeling for new and existing customers.

  1. Develop and maintain operational cost models for new business opportunities, incorporating assumptions of utilization, routes, trucking capacity, and rates.
  2. Analyze customer profitability, address scope creep, and identify revenue leakage and out-of-scope requirements to enhance overall profitability.
  3. Present and communicate cost models and operational insights effectively to customers, supporting account managers and business development managers during negotiations and client interactions.
  4. Support and analyze the network business, focusing on capacity utilization and the impact of new business or operational changes on the network.
  5. Provide insightful analysis to support commercial and operational decisions, focusing on volumes, revenue generation, benchmarking, and other key performance metrics.
  6. Understand and maintain BI tools.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A tertiary qualification in accounting, business, engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and the ability to work effectively with data to infer, extract, and translate into actionable insights.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Sound communication, time management, and relationship management skills.

In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to complete a national police check.
