Music Production Instructor for Youth Justice

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Music Production Instructor to work with our students aged 15-18 who are in the Youth Justice system. The successful candidate will have experience teaching music and a background in sound recording and music production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver music programs that cater to the needs of our students, focusing on recording, mixing, and production.
  • Instruct students in using industry-standard software and equipment for audio recording and editing.
  • Create practical skills in music technology, live sound, and digital production.
  • Design and assess creative projects that combine composition, recording, and production.
  • Embed music literacy and critical listening into hands-on tasks.
  • Prepare students for assessments, performances, and VET competencies.
Requirements
  • Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia.
  • Current VIT registration.
  • Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Secondary Music with a background/focus/interest in sound recording/music producing.
