Vehicle Loading and Unloading Role

We are seeking a skilled Yard Hand/Forklift Operator to join our dynamic Despatch team.

  • Responsibilities include printing out vehicle load sheets, planning loads for delivery trucks, locating finished goods, loading vehicles safely and effectively, reading pick sheets to pick and pack accessories, scanning and updating records, maintaining stock records, and performing general housekeeping tasks.
  • This role requires effective problem solving skills, clear communication, accuracy, basic computer literacy, and the ability to work at pace within a team or individually.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that vehicles are loaded and unloaded efficiently, ready for despatch activities the following day. Reporting to the Despatch Manager, you will work closely with the team to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Loading and unloading vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintaining accurate stock records and stock movements via scanners.
  • Collaborating with team members and other business areas as required.
  • Performing general housekeeping tasks to maintain a tidy and safe working environment.
