Our Brisbane Office Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Commercial Performance Specialist, based out of our Brisbane office, with some flexibility to work from home.
You will provide data-driven commercial analytics support to identify revenue opportunities and continuously refine the Commercial Strategy and Roadmap across the commercial functions to achieve the overarching revenue ambition.
This includes providing proactive support to the Head of and General Manager in preparation for CEO/Board updates and management level performance tracking to generate ongoing insights.
You will also play a direct role to lead more complex and advance modelling for special projects within the Commercial Division, particularly in the Sales function.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Use Microsoft Excel and Power BI to proactively interrogate and analyse data to identify trends, gaps and opportunities that help the company drive incremental revenue
- Transform analytical output into actionable insights and narratives that will improve decision making and consequently drive business performance
- Continual delivery of strong recommendations with options considered and supported by a high degree of robust analytics
- Support the commercial leadership team to identify and scope commercial opportunities in the Sales function and lead the sizing of commercial benefits and investments
- Work closely with the Sales team to execute identified commercial opportunities
- Produce routine reporting that addresses performance and key risk areas, providing clearly articulated insights and actions to be taken to address findings; automate to greatest degree possible
- Promote a data lead culture through the use of data and analytical decision making across the Commercial Division
Requirements
To succeed in this role you'll need:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (Business, Economics, Finance, etc.)
- A background in Management Consulting or a similar commercial/analytical role (3+ years)
- Advanced Excel skills (you have built models before). Power BI skills are advantageous but not essential
- Experience in translating business questions into analysis to prove/disprove hypothesis
- Experience interrogating and analysing large bodies of data to generate actionable insights
- Experience operating with ambiguity in pursuit of an overall objective
- Ability to use data insights to generate easily interpreted, impactful Microsoft PowerPoint presentations
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
