About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) as an EL1 Lead System Administrator. You will have the chance to work in a unique environment assisting the ASD in its core functions.

As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for leading the technical evolution and administration of ASD's critical computer systems. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of our corporate and bespoke ICT environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and integrity of our systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical leadership and direction to junior staff.
  2. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  3. Lead teams responsible for configuring, maintaining and controlling computer networks.
  4. Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve technical network and server problems.
  5. Ensure optimal performance, security and integrity of network.
  6. Review current network performance, capacity and capability, and determine future network and server needs.
