Family Support Specialist

This role involves providing comprehensive case management services to families within the Family Preservation – Positive Intervention Partnerships Program.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maximising early childhood principles to achieve improved outcomes in social, emotional, psychological and physical wellbeing of children and young people within their family unit and community.

Key responsibilities include conducting strengths-based assessments, developing family support plans, initiating parenting programs and coordinating case reviews and conferences.

Awareness of Aboriginal culture and issues faced by Aboriginal people and those from CALD backgrounds is essential. Understanding and empathy regarding inter-generational trauma are also required.
