Supporting Elderly People in Aged Care Homes

HammondCare volunteers provide spiritual and emotional support to elderly individuals living in aged care residences. This opportunity is suitable for individuals who are actively engaged with a local church and wish to complement the work of our Residential Pastoral Care Coordinators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offering prayer, Bible studies or other spiritual activities to residents
  • Complementing the work of our Pastoral Care Coordinators

Requirements:

  • A high level of interpersonal skills, including strong empathy and listening skills
  • Pastoral Care training, such as Chaplaincy or Clinical Pastoral Education
