Landscape Maintenance Specialist

Join a dynamic landscape team in local government to undertake various landscaping services across the municipality in parks and gardens. This is a unique opportunity to work with a strong emphasis on soft landscaping, planting, and landscape upgrades of parks, gardens, and streetscapes.

Job Description:

This role involves daily dealings with numerous departments and the public, providing a high level of customer service and excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake various landscaping services across the municipality in parks and gardens
  • Work with a strong emphasis on soft landscaping, planting, and landscape upgrades of parks, gardens, and streetscapes
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the department
  • Provide high-level support to staff members

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualifications and experience in the maintenance of high-quality urban landscapes
  • A proven history in landscape maintenance and the ability to organise resources effectively
  • The ability to manage staff and provide direction in the field
  • Judgment to assess situations and arrive at appropriate work solutions
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in operating plant and equipment used in landscape maintenance
  • Strong customer focus and excellent communication skills
