Chemistry Laboratory Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Chemistry Laboratory Supervisor to lead and manage our laboratory operations. This is a key role that requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a deep understanding of chemistry and laboratory practices.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in Chemistry and significant post-graduate experience, including highly developed chemical synthesis skills. Familiarity with synthetic chemistry, cell biology, and measurement science is desirable but not essential.

1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, ensuring smooth running of experiments and maintenance of equipment.
2. Supervise research staff and students, providing guidance and support as needed.
3. Develop and implement guidelines, processes, and procedures to align with laboratory activities.
4. Analyze and report on research performance and metrics, recommending initiatives to improve efficiency.
5. Represent the laboratory at UNSW work areas, advisory groups, meetings, and lead/manage other Centre-wide activities as required.
