Family Therapist and Support Specialist

Western Metro Mental Health and Wellbeing Connect is seeking a Counsellor and Group Worker to join their team.
About the RoleThis role involves working with families and carers who access the Centre, delivering high-quality, strengths-based, trauma-informed short- to medium-term counselling. You will develop and facilitate group programs and activities across Western Melbourne that meet the wellbeing needs of carers who visit the Centre.
- Deliver face-to-face, outreach, and telehealth counselling services to families and carers.
- Develop and facilitate group programs and activities for carers in Western Melbourne.
- Work after hours, including evenings and Saturdays.
- Collaborate with the Coordinator Counselling and Group Work and broader team.
The successful candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have a strong understanding of mental health principles and practices, as well as experience working with diverse client groups.
