About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our Climate Resilience Solutions team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and deploying geospatial solutions on cloud platforms, utilizing Snowflake for data warehousing and geospatial databases management, and managing data workflows and storage solutions within cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deploy geospatial solutions on cloud platforms, leveraging cloud-based technologies and tools.
  • Utilize Snowflake for data warehousing and geospatial databases management, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Manage data workflows and storage solutions within cloud environments, optimizing data storage and retrieval.
  • Design and deploy data models, utilizing data science and engineering principles.
  • Develop scripts and automation tools using Python, ensuring efficient data processing and analysis.
  • Perform spatial analysis, utilizing geospatial data formats and spatial databases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality geospatial solutions, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards, adhering to best practices and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages, including SQL and Python.
  • Proven experience with data warehousing and data transformation solutions, including Snowflake.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and environments, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Solid understanding of geospatial data formats and spatial databases, including GeoJSON, Shapefile, and PostGIS.
  • Knowledge of GIS software, including ArcGIS Pro and QGIS.
