Job Description

We are seeking a Provisional Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a Provisional Psychologist, you will work collaboratively to provide integrated care to clients, conducting thorough psychological assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions. Your role will involve working with adults experiencing harm and significant problems related to their AOD use.

About the Role

This 12-month fixed-term contract offers valuable hands-on experience and regular supervision. You will have the opportunity to work in a supportive team environment, collaborate with colleagues from various backgrounds, and develop your clinical skills in a professional setting.

Your Responsibilities

* Conduct thorough psychological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the AOD Clinical team

* Deliver structured therapeutic interventions, employing modalities such as CBT, ACT, and DBT, as appropriate to client needs under professional supervision

* Provide individual counseling and co-facilitate therapeutic/psycho-education groups

* Maintain detailed and compliant client records, upholding confidentiality, ethics, and professionalism standards

* Actively participate in team case conferences, regular supervision, and professional development initiatives

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require provisional registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a degree qualification in Psychology recognized by the national professional association. Previous experience is highly desirable but not essential. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and an ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
