Costume Craftsperson

Seeking a skilled Costume Craftsperson to join our team at Cirque du Soleil.

We are looking for a highly experienced stitcher to work as part of our wardrobe team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including repairing costumes and costume-related items, and assisting the wardrobe team with organizational duties as needed.

Suitable candidates will be comfortable with both hand and machine sewing projects, as well as using a serger. They will also have experience with repairs on stretch wear and be able to maintain all costumes by doing laundry, ironing, and pre-setting for nightly performances.

The schedule for this role is primarily Wednesday to Sunday, with some flexibility to accommodate the needs of the production. The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.

Prior experience working in a similar role is essential, and candidates must be able to stand, stretch, bend, reach, and kneel for prolonged periods of time. They must also be able to work under pressure and be available to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
