About the Role

The Operations Manager for WA will oversee daily operations by providing effective support, coaching, and mentoring to Service Delivery Managers, Impound Coordinators, and Tow Truck Operators. This leader will ensure that operations are managed safely, efficiently, and profitably while meeting all KPIs, objectives, and legal obligations.

About You

You have a proven track record in successfully managing safe transport operations, requiring a solid background in transport. Leadership skills and a positive attitude are essential, as you'll be responsible for fostering a positive culture within the WA Operations team. A strong work ethic and commitment to learning and growing in the transport industry are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure adherence to HSE and Quality processes through relevant KPIs.
  2. Provide leadership and support to the WA Operations team to foster a positive culture.
  3. Develop, lead, and manage WA operations and business strategies.
  4. Analyse service levels and contractor earnings to optimise resource allocation.
  5. Create a workforce planning model to enhance capacity, procurement, and scheduling.
  6. Identify performance issues and opportunities for improvement.
  7. Lead initiatives to retain quality employees and ensure performance aligns with business strategies.
  8. Build relationships with key stakeholders as a trusted advisor/partner.
  9. Manage operational projects and change initiatives under time and resource constraints.
  10. Work cross-functionally with various teams to develop robust resourcing and demand assumptions.
Qualifications & Experience
  1. Relevant Management/Business qualification or equivalent experience.
  2. Proven experience in developing and managing Transport/Logistics operations, including people and rostering.
  3. Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or management role.
  4. Strong track record of delivering excellent customer service and fostering productive relationships.
  5. Experience working in a contractor environment.
