Speech Pathology Clinician

The ORS Speech Pathology team is expanding, and we are seeking our next clinician to join us. You will be part of a national team of 60+ Speech Pathologists in the NDIS division, providing clinical services to participants aged 0-65.

You will work across early intervention, school age, adolescent, and adult services with clients who have various presentations, diagnoses, and disability types. This role involves assessing and intervening with clients' communication and swallowing needs over a period of months or even years.

The type of assessments and interventions you will provide include:

  • Communication Assessments
  • Swallowing and Paediatric Feeding (Dysphagia) Assessments
  • Mealtime Management Plan development and reviews
  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication Assessments
  • Ongoing therapy

You will work across various environments, including family homes, disability group homes, day programs, schools, preschools, community settings, telehealth, and ORS offices.

Graduate Programs

If you are a recent graduate or within your first 12 months of experience, you may be eligible to participate in our six-month tailored new graduate program. This includes reduced client hours, an allocated supervisor, weekly mentoring, graduate-specific training, and opportunities to network with other new graduates and senior practitioners.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology
  • Registration or ability to become registered with SPA
  • A car and license
  • A National Police Clearance, Working With Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or ability to acquire one for client-facing roles
