Job Summary

The Procurement Specialist - Maintenance Services will play a crucial role in our team, providing expert procurement management and contract administration functions. This includes negotiating contracts, liaising with stakeholders, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction and value addition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate and manage contracts across the business, ensuring timely and effective provision of goods and services.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to identify and address specific customer and supplier needs.
  • Develop and implement supply process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with QA procedures and application protocols.
  • Support regional and strategically sourced goods and services reviews.
  • Certify and verify receipt of goods and services.
  • Expediting overdue orders and resolving any issues promptly.
Cost Efficiency Initiatives
  • Identify and create opportunities for cost reduction and value addition by introducing preferred supplier arrangements.
  • Collaborate with the Contracts & Procurement Manager to develop and manage the annual budget.
  • Design a cost reduction strategy, outlining potential cost saving initiatives and synergies within the organization.
  • Pursue two synergies within the organization to reduce costs for the Maintenance division.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 3-5 years' experience in procurement and contract administration, preferably within the resources sector.
  • Familiarity with the pipeline industry and accounting/audit procedures.
  • A working knowledge of computer-based supply systems, with SAP experience an advantage.
