Our team is seeking an experienced Ecologist to fill the role of Principal level Ecologist. This position requires a strong background in biodiversity consulting, with expertise in flora and fauna identification. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and experience working on large scale renewable energy and infrastructure developments.

This is a leadership role within our Biodiversity team where you will manage projects, provide advice to clients and internal staff, drive standards and mentor staff. You will be responsible for managing a wide range of projects, including renewable energy and infrastructure developments as well as smaller niche projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects and provide advice to clients and internal staff
  • Drive standards and mentor staff
  • Work on a wide range of projects, including renewable energy and infrastructure developments as well as smaller niche projects
  • Mentor and train junior staff members

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Ecology or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in flora and/or fauna identification
  • Knowledge of state and Commonwealth environmental legislation and policy
  • Demonstrated experience with GIS
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
