Electrical Systems Design Specialist

This is a high-profile position in the field of electrical engineering, requiring expertise in designing and developing innovative electrical systems.

  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in architecting and delivering critical electrical systems and sub-systems.

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business objectives into clear electrical engineering deliverables. The successful candidate will be able to create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and technical reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the development and design of complex electrical systems and products.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and team members to integrate electrical systems into larger product designs.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Perform detailed electrical calculations, simulations, and testing to evaluate system performance and optimise efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical engineering challenges and provide innovative and practical solutions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior role within defence, tech, or a fast-paced environment, driving successful electrical engineering projects from concept to market launch.
  • Expertise in electrical engineering principles, techniques, and technologies.
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard electrical design and simulation software.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor junior engineers.
  • Strong time management and organisational abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
