About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operational Technology Cyber Security Engineer to join our Cyber Security team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise to uplift initiatives that drive improvement in cybersecurity maturity.

You will work closely with various teams across AGL, including cybersecurity, technology, engineering, and operational stakeholders, to assess risk, prioritize work, and drive effective outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Influence and provide OT security expertise with project, site engineering, and control system teams.
  • Provide specialized support and technical assistance on investigations, issues, and incidents, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of security controls, recommending and implementing remediations to prevent future threats.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of AGL's security toolset and detection capabilities.
  • Provide periodic updates of monitoring systems, dashboards, metrics, and reporting to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the uplift of Cyber awareness for site operational teams by engaging with multiple stakeholders.
About You

We are looking for a strong candidate with experience working in a range of OT environments and within Cyber Security teams. You will have a commitment to working safely and collaboratively, as well as excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Key qualifications include:

  • Strong experience working in OT environments and within Cyber Security teams.
  • Commitment to working safely and collaboratively.
  • Experience with network security, access controls, SIEM technologies, passive monitoring tools, and log collection in OT environments.
  • Knowledge of key protocols and patterns typical of IT and OT-ICS environments.
  • Knowledge of IT and OT/ICS platforms and operating systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and analytical skills.
  • Tertiary qualification and/or accreditation specific to Operational Technology or related field.
