Retail Design Standards Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our retail design standards, ensuring a cohesive and high-quality brand experience across our supermarket, local, and liquor brands. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the aesthetic, safety, operational efficiency, cost, and design of our stores.
This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your background in retail design and architectural documentation to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
- Create blueprint and format plans for our three brands
- Ensure all applicable legislative requirements are considered and incorporated into store designs
- Manage the documentation process for typicals, standard drawings, visual identity documents, and blueprints
- Oversee information sharing with internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in site visits to review standards and ensure safety compliance
About you
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in retail planning with some design, commercial, and financial understanding desirable
- Ability to manage construction consultants, including architects, engineers, and quantity surveyors
- Experience presenting to senior leaders or large groups
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
- Familiarity with key metrics required to improve return on equity
- Degree in architecture or engineering highly regarded
