Mental Health Social Worker

As a Social Worker, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality clinical services. Your primary focus will be on providing specialist social work interventions to mental health consumers, promoting recovery and community integration.
The Grade 2 Social Worker role involves assessing and addressing the complex needs of consumers, their carers, and families. You will provide education and support, utilising the principles of service coordination to ensure timely and coordinated responses to health and social needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough assessments and developing tailored intervention plans
- Providing expert guidance and support to consumers, carers, and families
- Working effectively within a fast-paced environment to meet consumer demands
About You
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A degree qualification in Social Work approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers for membership as a Social Worker
- Demonstrated commitment to the recovery approach in mental health treatment and support
- Proven ability to provide assessments and interventions
- Experience working with clients with mental health issues and their carers
Desirable attributes include experience in acute mental health settings and family consultation, as well as evidence of involvement in research and evaluation. The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality care and committed to ongoing professional development.
