The primary objective of this position is to contribute to the preparation of financial statements and activities for delivery to relevant bodies, ensuring compliance with regulatory, professional, and ethical standards.
This role involves reconciling bank accounts and superannuation fund investment holdings, reviewing and paying fees and premiums, and reconciling all general ledger accounts. Additionally, it entails preparing statutory financial reports, including planning and liaising with auditors, as well as managing daily unit prices and reconciling unit holdings with custodians.
Key responsibilities include preparing Business Activity Statements and APRA reporting on a quarterly and annual basis, as well as preparing trustee reports and compliance reporting. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring client service standards are met and examining current processes to recommend improvements.
Requirements for the role include at least five years' experience in the Superannuation or Financial Planning industry, formal superannuation qualifications, and relevant tertiary qualifications such as CA/CPA certification. Practical experience with superannuation technology systems, particularly Acurity, is highly regarded. The ideal candidate will possess genuine customer service skills and knowledge of all processes within superannuation/financial administration.
