EBR is a global leading telecommunication infrastructure company, and we are looking for a skilled Spatial System Developer to join our team.

Job Description

We seek a seasoned developer with GIS expertise to oversee the development of our spatial system, providing technical leadership and support to a small team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring 24/7 availability and maintenance of the Spatial GIS system
  • Ongoing development of the GIS system to meet business needs and adapt to changes
  • Mentoring and coaching team members to enhance productivity and outcomes
  • Prioritizing tasks to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards
  • Fostering effective communication with stakeholders and internal customers throughout development projects and system processes
  • Providing various reports and other duties as requested by management
  • Supporting new technology introductions
  • Leading the development and implementation of bespoke GIS solutions, including databases, REST APIs, and desktop and web applications
  • Technical supervision, code review, and sprint planning
  • Administration of Linux and Windows server environments
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Expert Python knowledge, particularly experience developing GUIs using TkInter, PyQT, or similar
  • Extensive JavaScript/Node.js experience, including building REST APIs and SPWA, preferably using GoogleMaps API and ECMAScript 6
  • Experience with at least one statically typed programming language, such as C++, Go, C#, or Java
  • Solid RDBMS experience with MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle DB, or PostgreSQL; extensive PostgreSQL experience is preferred, along with strong knowledge of SQL, including PL/pgSQL, PL/SQL, or T-SQL
  • Extensive knowledge of GeoServer or ArcGIS for server
  • Experience administering Linux and Windows server environments
  • Advanced knowledge of desktop GIS applications, such as QGIS, ArcMAP, or MapInfo
  • Experience leading a team, particularly in an Agile or DevOps environment
  • Knowledge of Git and a public GitHub/Bitbucket account or equivalent, showcasing private projects and interests
Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per annum
