Specialized Neonatal Care Professional

This position involves providing high-quality patient care to neonates in a Level III NICU setting. Key responsibilities include managing respiratory and cardiovascular distress, glucose management, and caring for neonates requiring surgery or cardiac interventions.
Responsibilities:- Deliver specialized care to neonates with a focus on respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, and infectious disease management.
- Administer medications using automated systems like Pyxis, including IV vasopressors, surfactants, and steroids.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information using electronic health record systems.
- Develop effective communication strategies with healthcare teams and families through the use of standardized communication methods like SBAR.
- Perform and manage procedures such as arterial line management, central line care, and neonatal abstinence syndrome interventions.
- Monitor and adjust ventilator settings, including AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP modes.
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Experience working in Level III and Level IV NICU settings.
- Proficiency in cardiovascular dysrhythmia interpretation and management.
- Ability to manage gastrointestinal feeding methods and oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes.
- Expertise in infection control measures and IV therapy, including umbilical artery and vein catheter management.
