Job Overview:

The Maintenance Officer will be responsible for maintaining a proactive preventative maintenance program throughout the property, ensuring it is always in perfect shape for our customers.

About The Role:

">
  • You will build strong relationships with stakeholders, including guests, team members, and body corporate, to ensure seamless communication and cooperation.
  • You will be responsible for implementing cost control measures and administration duties, including purchasing equipment and selecting contractors that meet quality standards.
  • You will regularly inspect work areas to ensure they are organized and well-maintained, and coordinate monthly stock takes to record and manage all stock.
  • You will purchase equipment and select contractors that meet quality standards and comply with budget guidelines.
  • You will manage a small team of maintenance staff and coordinate and supervise external contractors when required.
  • You will ensure company standards, systems, and procedures are implemented and maintained.

Key Requirements:

">
  • A positive and optimistic attitude with a 'we can do anything' approach.
  • Experience with fixing day-to-day issues, such as lights, taps, and paint.
  • A logical approach to problem-solving and ability to coordinate contractors for efficient results.
  • Ability to understand what the customer sees and ensure the property is always kept to the highest standard.
  • Knowledge of a trade is beneficial, and knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice is highly regarded.
  • Supervisory experience of maintenance activities in a fast-moving lean environment is ideal.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
