The role of Senior Communications Manager forms part of the corporate division of Strategic Policy and External Relations, focusing on delivering high-quality communications advice, service, and support across various channels and audiences.

Working in a fast-paced politically sensitive environment, this position requires adaptability and an ability to work on multiple projects with competing priorities. A collaborative approach and strong focus on relationships are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating strategic communications strategies that set clear, measurable objectives.
  • Leading a team delivering across multiple projects and priorities.
  • Building working relationships with people across the organisation.
  • Providing expert advice, communications materials, briefings, and reports to senior executives.
  • Identifying and implementing solutions to complex communications issues.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional communications skills with extensive experience in strategic communications.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team and building relationships.
  • Tertiary qualifications in communications or a relevant discipline.
