About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Educator to join our team at TAFE Queensland. As a key member of our Educational Delivery team, you will have the opportunity to share your extensive industry knowledge and experience with students in a classroom or other educational setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver high-quality training programs in Automotive, aligned with industry standards and requirements.
  • Develop and implement assessment strategies to evaluate student learning and progress.
  • Provide guidance and support to students to ensure they achieve their learning goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in Automotive, and incorporate this knowledge into your teaching practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and training programs.
Requirements
  • Relevant industry experience and qualifications in Automotive, including a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
  • Current industry skills and knowledge directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided.
  • Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided.
  • Evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of vocational training, learning, and assessment.
  • Current Queensland Driver's licence.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Additional qualifications in Automotive Electrical, Mobile Plant, Heavy Vehicle, or MEM – Fixed Plant.
  • High level of digital literacy skills across various platforms (online Learning Management Systems).

  • A competitive salary range of $88,547 - $118,528 (gross) per annum, depending on educational qualifications held and teaching experience.
