**Traffic Signal Electrician Role Summary**

This full-time position involves the installation, maintenance and repair of traffic signals and associated electrical infrastructure. As a skilled electrician, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our region's transportation network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out electrical installations, repairs and maintenance on traffic signals and ITS systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with traffic signal systems and components.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance inspections and tasks.
  • Liaise with relevant authorities and stakeholders to coordinate work activities.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and to the required standards and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all work undertaken.

**Requirements:**

  • Qualified electrician with a current unrestricted electrician's licence.
  • Extensive experience working on traffic signal and road infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical theory, wiring diagrams and traffic signal systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
